Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine

About Viktor
While attending Virginia Tech University, Viktor started studying the Chinese internal martial arts
of Hsing-I, Ba Gua, and Tai Chi. After a year of practice, he saw many of his health problems
disappear. Through the kung fu school, Viktor also started learning manual therapies, such as
Tui Na (Oriental Medicine bodywork) and craniosacral therapy. These two experiences led Viktor
to the study of Oriental Medicine.
After receiving a Master of Science in Materials Engineering, Viktor continued to study Tui Na and
also studied privately for two years with Dr. Yanqiu He, one of the premier herbalists on the East
Coast. Dr. He was a student of Dr. Zhao Shaoqin, son of the formal physician of the last
Emperor. She impressed Viktor with her clinical successes and helped him gain an appreciation
for the depth and wisdom of Chinese herbal medicine.
Viktor moved to Austin, Texas, to complete his Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at
the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His love of bodywork and alignment then led
him to Boulder, CO, where he studied at the Rolf Institute to become a Certified Rolfer.
What excites Viktor about Chinese Medicine is the holistic approach, the individualized an
personal attention each patient receives, and the potential to address a vast field of health
concerns with herbs, needles, and one's hands.
